Steps of your first dive in the Var:
CONDUCT
First of all, you will be welcomed and supervised for the duration of your diving dive in Hyères, by your instructor. DURING DIVE
You will embark aboard the Ar’Guevel, our boat that will take you to the most beautiful scuba diving spots in Hyères, Porquerolles and Port-Cros. The instructor will carefully explain to you all the information you will need once under water: the dive spot and its characteristics, the use of the equipment, the useful gestures and other technical details to prepare you for your baptism. diving. He’ll ask you a few questions before you go to the water to see if you understand everything, and he’ll check your gear one last time. That’s when you dive under water with your mask and oxygen cylinder. The instructor will guide you throughout the duration of the initiation. You will go up to 6 meters deep, facilitating your orientation and your breathing.
AND AFTER YOUR first dive?
Once you have completed your diving initiation, you will leave the Divin’Giens Club, all smiles, lots of memories, and lots of nice things to tell your friends. You will share with us your feelings, your skills acquired during your baptism, and we will deliver your Certificate of Diving Baptism thereafter. This document will be useful for people wishing to improve afterwards.

Recommendation
Know that scuba diving is first and foremost a unique experience. You do not have to rely on each other’s essays. Each diver must make his own opinion, so you must make your first dive during your stay in the Var, on the peninsula of Giens. Also note that diving baptism is mandatory for anyone who has never dived. Diving baptism is open to anyone wishing to learn about the mysterious underwater world. To pass his dive baptism: children must be at least 8 years old. Pregnant women, epileptics and asthmatics will not be able to do a dive.
Diving for kids

Children aged 8 to 12, already curious to explore the seabed of the Var, around Hyères, Porquerolles and Port-Cros, will have the chance to do their diving baptism at the club Divin’Giens. We are pleased to be able to accompany them from an early age, in the initiation of scuba diving. This dive baptism will allow them to develop their coordination, their breathing and the relationship to nature and the aquatic environment. The instructors will accompany them in shallow areas, to guide them as much as possible in their development. They will be supervised safely by qualified instructors.
